Why Southcrest Christian School

For the Parents and Students

For parents, Southcrest Christian School provides an outstanding overall value in Christian education. We offer a strong student-to-teacher ratio that allows the teacher to spend more one-on-one time with each child. Our school benefits from a high level of experience. Our teachers and administration average over 12 years in formal classroom teaching experience. Our children receive a well-rounded education that incorporates a Christian world view.

Parents have the opportunity to be involved in many wonderful programs such as Heart & Soul, PATHS, lunch room volunteer, home room parent, Cut and Color Cafe and many others. Our students have excelled in ACSI academic competitions for a number of years. Students participate in competitive athletics starting in sixth grade. Through character building and sound academics, students receive the necessary tools for life.

For the Teachers

As an educator you are able to teach to the “whole child” using Biblical values and principles. At the same time, the administration supports the continued development of the "whole teacher". With a healthy learning environment, the emphasis is not placed solely on test scores but on the total learning experience. The scale of the classroom allows each teacher to provide individualized instruction. Classroom management is supported through the "Love-and-Logic" disciplinary system. Our administration encourages an educational process which enhances the relationship between the parent and the teacher.

For our Community of Churches...

Southcrest Christian School provides training for a child in the ways of the Lord. We view Christian education as an avenue through which Christian character, high moral standards, and ethical behavior are reinforced.

We work in harmony with our local churches to see that our children grow in the likeness of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, training tomorrow’s community leaders to honor God. As Proverbs 22:6 clearly states, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."
